Nothing plays on this page. Hit the button and the studio opens with your phrase loaded. You press play when you are ready, and it starts quiet.

Signal path

Four channels. Words in, tune out.

Every Aux Cord melody follows the same road. Nothing is random in the way that matters: change one letter and you get a new tune, keep the letters and you get the same one back.

The seed rolls sixteen gates and sixteen small pitch moves. A scale keeps every note friendly with its neighbours.

Three tapes to start with

Each mixtape is just a phrase, a scale, a tempo and a waveform. Open one in the studio and every pad is yours to flip.

Night Bus Home

Slow, low and a little sleepy. D minor, soft triangle, long echoes.

Corner Store Neon

Buzzy square wave over a pentatonic scale. Sounds like an OPEN sign.

Whole-tone drift with no home note to land on. Floaty by design.

House rules

DJ swagger, teacher's heart

The booth is loud in spirit and gentle in practice. Aux Cord exists to make the idea of turning data into sound feel like play, and then to show you exactly how the trick works so you can do it yourself.

  • Quiet by defaultVolume starts low. Past the loud line the page warns you and asks twice before it plays.
  • No autoplay. Ever.Sound only starts after you press play. Close the tab and it is gone.
  • Offline all the wayNo accounts, no servers, no tracking. The synth is a few hundred lines of code you can read.
